Cigar Smuggler was one of the first native Android apps I’ve written. It was based on the popular Dope Wars game I used to play on my TI-82 calculator back in school. In this version of the game the player buys and sells cigars instead of drugs. The game has over 20k downloads and sees around 2k plays a day. I learned a lot about how to build custom Android components, Android memory management, mobile advertising and trends in the Android Market.
